Forming Groups By sovay

I read somewhere (maybe here on ProTeacher) an idea I would like to try for forming groups randomly. Color the ends of craft sticks using the same number of colors as you would like to have groups. Put the craft sticks in a cup, and let each child draw a stick. They would join groups with like colors. This would be easy to reuse.
