I agree with PEPteach. This mom sounds like she is just really trying to make you aware of the child's allergies and how to deal with them. My daughter has a severe strawberry allergy and when she started school this year I was ADAMANT about telling everyone who came in contact with her about it. Lucky thing too because when I went down to the cafeteria they had only listed half of the warning on her lunch ID.

Take it all in stride. It is not too much to ask the other parents to be accomomdating but it is also not to much to ask this parent to be prepared with safe snacks from home. My daughter's class has snack everyday and I send something extra in her lunch box just in case the teacher has something that is questionable.
