Six weeks is long enough. Clearly this child is not developmentally ready to be separated from her parents. Send her home and try again next year. Meanwhile perhaps there is a 2 day a week preschool she can try. Do not put up with this one moment longer, this is not teaching! This is worse than babysitting, and it's not fair to the rest of your class, who are ready and able to move on - you have a big job to do, a curriculum that needs to be met. Say good bye to her.
