first or second

Clip to ScrapBook
I agree, both grades are wonderful, but second is probably a bit easier in some ways. I have taught K to 4, the older the kids the more independant they are. With second grade most if not all should be reading, they should be able to do writing, basic math skills, etc., of course with any grade you may have very low and very high students. With the younger grades I find we tend to teach to a multitude of levels no matter which grade we teach.
But I do love first grade as well. They are so much fun, so enthusiastic and eager to learn. I think you'd do fine with either grade level.
