Do you have a union or professional association? There is no part of your job description that requires you to put up with physical abuse on a daily basis. It is outrageous that your administration has allowed this to go on as long as it has. Just because you are a first-year teacher that does not mean that you should be subjected to this child's c**p. If your administration doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to put an end to this nonsense, then I would file charges against the child.
