chaperone

I agree, if your room parent is helpful, and willing, take her and it will make sense to everyone. Be sure to let parents know that the location made the decision that only one parent could go.

In the past I've also had parents ignore directives such as "no siblings" , or "no rides" . One group didn't go to see the dinosaur display last year, but went on the rides instead. "My mom isn't interested in any old fake displays of extinct animals." Out of the mouths of babes.....unfortunately, we were studying those extinct animals and that group of four missed quite an opportunity. I'm going to hand pick the chaperones next time! I may say they were drawn from a hat, but it will end up being the parents I want to spend the day with!
