I've been in your position before. I just asked a mom who I knew would be helpful overall. I didn't mention it to anyone else until it was time to send the note/permission slip home. If others ask you to go, just explain that you have limited space. If you think your room mom would be a good candidate, just take her. Then no one should be upset, since you didn't pick a "favorite" parent.
