Hello...I'm looking for any creative ideas for classroom management and incentives for good behavior. I have just been placed in a classroom of 4th graders with severe behavior problems and am already out of ideas. I need| something that will get their attention as it is nearly impossible to get them all quiet at once. The last teacher left because of the behavior issues and there is not a lot of real support from the administration. I have began calling parents but so far that has not helped behavior either. I don't want to be the second teacher to quit on these children but I need help! Any advice would | |
be appreciated.
We already have a point system that we do for special "mall" incentives every other Friday but many of my students do not get to participate because of their behavior throughout the school and because of suspensions. We need something for our classroom where rewards can happen more frequently.
