overhead projector

I recently attended a class where they used a really cool overhead projector that would project anything up on the screen. Everything was in color and it could be a book, a paper, even the teacher's hand. Does anyone have a projector like this? I think I've heard them called ELMOs but I'm looking for specifics. If you know a model # or exactly what they're called, I'd love to know so I can check into getting one.
