I was nominated once, but the notice came in the spring and with all of the end of year obligations I had, plus completing a grad class I did not follow through with it. I never knew who nominated me, but I still feel as warm about it as I did when I first received it. It didn't matter whether I entered or won, just being nominated recharged my batteries and made me feel that I had at least touched one child. I regret I didn't do the paperwork to pursue it though.
