pencil sharpener

I have the blue, classroom Boston pencil sharpener. I just got it this year. So far it is working great. However, I read about a year ago on this board that you should never, never sharpen colored pencils in them. I hope it keeps working good because it is so nice and quiet! It has 3 holes for different size pencils. I know it costs over $50.00.
