sight Words
By Helen

Clip to ScrapBook
there are several word lists available. I have used Dolch, Fry, and Cunningham. Do a search online for Dolch words and you may even find flashcards to go with it. Cunningham's list is what I plan to use this year with
a very few modifications, because our state has a word list that we are to assess on and I am insuring that all of those words are taught also.I only had to add about 6 words. There is a basic list of 110 Sight Words for first graders. We will be introducing about five per week and reading and writing with them. This list does not include the color and number words that you will also
be working on. We will be putting our words on a word wall as we introduce them. If you look through Patricia Cunningham resources you will find a number of "on the back" activities to use with those words during the week( Read My Mind, Chant the Words).
