I teach fourth and today I collected a finished story map from my students. Even my best students were sequencing unimportant events. Two questions--what do you name the major events? Do we call them major events? How do we get them thinking events in broader terms. This story map was a retelling of an 9 chapter Beverly Cleary book. I'd love your ideas. Thank you.
