NB candidate in Early Childhood/General Ed.

I am working on my NB's. It is quite overwhelming. The more I work on it, the more I realize I have to do. I went to a Jump Start 4 day class this summer, which was very helpful. I also belong to a cohort group which
meets once a month. The leader of the group is very helpful. She has already helped me get rid of the wordage on my Entry 4. There are so little pages allowed to do so much.

I'm just now plotting what I am going to videotape in my K class. I teach an AM and a PM. The PM class is so much better behaved than the AM so I plan on "practicing" the lesson on the AM (while videotaping),
then do it again for the PM. I do know that you don't have to have a "magical" moment in your video tape, even though it would be nice. Most of your points will come from your writing, rather than your 15 minutes on the video.

Have others review your writing...set it aside....sleep on it (or stay awake at night thinking about it like I have been).....look at it again....I've been told I'll be doing this until I turn everything in in March. But the nature of the NB is reflecting on our teaching so this is a good thing, at least that is what I am trying to convince myself of.

Good luck to all of the NB Candidates out there!
