Amelia I understand where you are coming from. I did 4 years nursing but have not kept up with my registration. I have a Masters in education and am studying Master in Teacher Librarianship now. In Sydney the Librarian at West MEad Childrens Hospital has opportunites of working with sick children. She supports the doctors in ward rounds, providing search material and there is also a childrens library. Althoiugh it is not exactly what you are looking for it is another avenue where your expertise and compassion for sick children can be beneficial.
