sight word games
By Becky

Clip to ScrapBook
Peggy Kaye put out a great book called Games for Reading.
Bingo is a great one....
I also have a sight word dominoes game, sight word concentration game and sight word go fish game. My bingo game boards look like giant watermelon slices. I have a sight word in spots that are shaped like a watermelon seed. As the kids get a word, they cover it with a black seed. Whoever fills their watermelon slice first, wins the game.
Silly sentences is fun too. Have the children make sentences with a bunch of sight words.
I also cut up words and have the children put them back together.
Good luck!
Becky
