Clip to ScrapBook
I teach first grade and have used many methods over the years. Teaching a mini lessons has always remained constant though. Started using a new strategy this year that even my reluctant writers are having success with. It is called Four Square Writing Method by Judith and Evan Jay Gould. I have modifed the approach depending upon the level of writing my students are able to do. Some have expanded their writing to using 8 squares for their writing plus writing a beginning and an ending.
