I don't want to contradict JoAnne, but the purpose for my using a BME or other format is to help the children organize their own writing and thinking about stories they've heard or read. So if I'm using a BME paper it's for them to illustrate / write a story of their creation, or to help them retell a favorite story they've heard. Hope this clarifies things. ;-D
