Chris, There are some good sheets and activities on both the Mailbox and Copycat sites. You might also find an AIMS resource book with a valentine graphing activity explained...you use those little boxes of candy hearts,
sort by color. You can also use them to inspire a writing activity.
Black History month, there are some awesome children's books..check out author Faith Ringold in your library. Also a book called "Follow the Drinking Gourd". There were some good MLK activities in Teacher helper gr 1 last month I think (I save so many from years past it may have been an earlier edition).
President's
Day? Check out back copies of Mailbox or Teachers Helper in your school library. You can usually find cut outs of Pres. Lincoln and Wahsington to cut out and use in various ways.
Definitely check out Cathy Dee's site..you will find a great deal of help there. I go often.
