No English Books
By Nikki

Clip to ScrapBook
This is late, but better than never? Either share the books or don't use them at all. Use trade books and make your own worksheets. I am not sure what kind of English books you were using, precisely, considering the fact that the first grade classroom I student teach in doesn't use any books except for Science and even when I taught that I was only allowed to use at most 4 lessons of the 10 lesson unit I taught out of the book. The other 6 and for any other subject I am on my own...fun huh? Don't ever work in a school that doesn't have a curriculum unless you've taught the grade for years and know what to expect from the kids!!!!!!! (That's the lesson I've learned from this). I am struggling through, though...only a month left...
