You didn't state your grade level, but could these computers be used in centers ("stations" for older kids) ideas might include keying in spelling words, publishing stories written at other times, using enrichment software. Science or social studies reports could be creatd in part onthe computer (power point or other presentation software) and that could be done with small groups at each computer. Do these computers have Internet access? What is the level of "technology usage" among the staff? Do you each have email accounts, do you use electronic gradebooks? Do the kids see you using the computers on a daily basis for routine matters? Again depending on the age of the kids, try asking them what they think they could use them for (you retain the right to veto anything you don't agree with ). They might come up with some ideas you haven't considered.
