do you need to be able to read the names from a distance or are they just group identification? If there are Just for group ID you can use wrist bands. There are a few kinds but the ones we use are from Price chopper. They are eater proof and almost unrippable. The fasten with a very adhesive sticky tab. the come in lots of colors and designs. I believe they come in boxes of 100 or 1000 I cant remember how many.
you can label them in many ways. we use label stickers but markers work well also (PERMANENT).
