Same situation

I am a kindergarten teacher and I usually have several children on the verge of reading. I have made many of my own books through the years using simple sentence patterns such as I SEE THE... or I CAN... etc. Using stickers or digital pictures on the computer make it very easy to create these stories. Also, Scholastic and many other companies have emergent readers on the market. In fact, many of these are sold in their monthly book orders and when you accumulate enough bonus points they are free! The important thing is to get the kiddos that are ready a chance to start reading. Good Luck!
