Myself Puppet

At the Art center I have myself, or a parent volunteer help small groups of students to make a puppet out of a white paper bag (lunch type) that looks like the student. I have them make their head big enough so the mouth of their puppet is located where the bag folds at the bottom and will move/talk (turn the bag upside down)when they put their hand inside it. After they color their bag I have them practice saying their name, address, and phone number to the parent volunteer and to each other in the group. I then send them home (with a small note attached asking the parents to help them practice their address etc.)
