fire prevention homework
By k teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
Fire Prevention week is coming up. I made up a homework sheet on the computer that is divided into nights. One day, we discuss smoke detectors and for homework the children have to see whether or not they have a smoke detector & if so, they must have a parent check the batteries. One day we learn about stop, drop, & roll. Homework- practice it. One day we discuss getting out of the house and having a meeting place outside that everyone in the house meets at so everyone can be counted. Homework- discuss with your family where the meeting place will be. One day we discuss different ways to get out of a burning house. Homework- have mom or dad draw a floor plan of your house on the back of the homework sheet and discuss & show different escape routes.
