positive praise
By Sherri

Clip to ScrapBook
I find positive reinforcement always works to get the kids sitting cross legged and quietly. I always use the phrase "criss cross apple sauce" and the children know to cross their legs. Then I always praise the students who are doing as they were asked (I like the way Jonny is sitting). You will find that others will comply to get the positive praise.
