I too am new at this portfolio thing . . .so I am no expert, but I can share with you what I am doing. On the first day of school, I had the children draw a picture of themselves with the thought I would have them draw another one as the year comes to a close. I have done a pre-eval of colors, letters, and numbers . . .I will do this again mid year and again at the close of the year. I plan to have a few samples of writting from time to time . . . I hope this helps . .I too would be interested in what others put in theirs.Blessings
