"overwhelmed"
By audrey

Clip to ScrapBook
The important thing to do is to try to relax. I sense that you are very nervous and this is normal. The first day is a good day to get acquainted with the children, playing non-threatening games, games to get to know names etc. Let the children explore the room. They are as nervous, if not more than you! While they explore, you can mingle and explain some boundaries of different areas. Sing familiar songs and don't over plan the day.
