letters

Clip to ScrapBook
Hey there! This is my 12th year teaching K. Every year we have taught a letter of the week. I have done them out of order (to fit with themes: A: apples, S: scarecrows, F: Fall or fish, etc.)
The last 2 years we have taught them in order and just did our units anyway. This makes for easy review and helps them in writing the alphabet in order. Each week after they have completed a handwriting sheet/coloring sheet, have them turn the paper over and write the letters learned thus far. First week Aa, second week AaBb, third week Aa Bb Cc, etc.
There have been as many as 10 K teachers planning together. Luckily we just built a new elem. school to help with overcrowding. We still have 5 classrooms with 22-25 kids each.

Good luck and have fun!
