party fun

Clip to ScrapBook
Since the kids will all be arriving at different times and since the parents will be hanging around, I would recommend that you have something like coloring or play doh for the first few minutes at least. It is an activity that the kids can feel safe with in their own little spaces. Many of the children will be shy and not want to participate in group activities at first (if at all) so allow them to use a variety of toys, dolls, hoops, and lots of moving around space. Once they find a friend in the group they'll feel great but that can take a whole day. I would not have organized activities except food time. Speaking of which, avoid peanut butter in case of unforeseen allergies. Good luck. It is quite thoughtful of you.
