Our district went from 1/2day to all day Kindergarten 2years ago. It is great there is so much more time and I can teach math and language every day not just alternating. Also the kids who do not get it right away have some time to absorb what I am teaching. Texas would like all kindergarten to be full day but will not provide any money. Our neighboring district only provides 1/2 day. I have had 20-24 students in my class. Most of last year I had 22. When we went to full day we had many more kids enrolling because it was all day(k is not mandated). I do not have an aid. Most of my parents work but sometimes I have a parent who wants to help.
