Kinder stuff
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Jen,
I taught 1/2 day (the state of AZ does not provide funding for more) and no aide unless you had a special needs child who was mainstreamed and needed one to succeed. Fortunately, I had many parent volunteers (usually
a minimum of one each day, sometimes two) and they assisted in all different ways depending upon what they felt comfortable with. My teaching partner didn't have as much parent support (most of hers were working full time) but we did similar routines, etc. So, small group work was doable with the little ones, and the others were pretty independent about accomplishing their 'I Cares
and Choices' without adult supervision, but the tasks were really carefully planned, open ended so all could be supported at their own literacy level and routines were definitely established ahead of time. Best of luck. ;-D
