Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Jem,
Usually I have several baskets of possibilities to explore while I take care of last minute stuff. There are baskets with drawing paper and crayons; others with books, some with math materials, puzzles, an observation
area set up with summer finds-magnifying glasses for viewing rocks, shells and other treasures I've collected.
It also helps if you have a table outside your classroom with bins set up for supply donations (if your school's sent out a list), extra forms and a basket for completed ones, transportation tags to be filled out with contact info. so you'll know how everyone will
be getting home. We've had a parent volunteer greet and hand out information and collect things from new families. Works wonderfully, and you're free to welcome your little ones. Best of luck, ;-D
