Clip to ScrapBook
Hi all,
Great suggestions from everyone. Another that I can't take credit for is to ask for a few adult volunteers (grandparents, or other school volunteers, I've found that several of my former parent helpers love to
take on this job) to man a table outside your door with the following items to take care of:
Attendance
Supply collection-bins or boxes marked with supply donation items so you don't have to sort
School forms-nurse cards, insurance, internet, library consents, etc.
For the Teacher forms-general phone card & special needs, volunteer sign up, snack sign ups, party information
Additional
welcome letters, etc. for the parents who have just registered their children
Testing schedule for new children so you can work 1:1 with all to learn their strenghths and next steps (we assess nearly all our children 1:1 prior to the beginning of school-nice to have the information instead of trying to get it done during the first hectic weeks of school
Arrival & Dismissal procedures-with phone numbers of sitters, additional contacts, etc.
Hope this helps. Debbie ;-D
