naps
By maureen

Clip to ScrapBook
I taught Kindergarten this year in a Catholic school. From September until February, we had a naptime from 12:30-1:00. The kids would bring a towel and a small pillow and lay down. Some would sleep others would look at a book. I did not allow talking during this time. From February until June we would have a "quiet time" where they would just put their heads down on their table from about 12:25-12:40. This didn't work as well. But at least it gave them a chance to have a rest. I would have probably kept up with the actual "nap time" but, I didn't have the storage space to store 23 different sleeping items. I think that they definetely need a break- when it is a whole day program. It recharges them for the rest of the day.
