Snacks
By MJ in GA

Clip to ScrapBook
For the first week of school, I purchase graham crackers or some such snack as mentioned in the other replies. I send home a rotating monthly snack calendar and each child brings snack for the whole class. Parents often send in more than enough and I give the child the option of taking extras back home or keeping it in the closet for days when someone forgets. More often than not theu want to keep it at school!

We sing a song thanking the student who brought the snack. On the days we get extras from the closet, we sing to the closet! They think this is a riot!

We also have "Clean out the Closet Days". We do this on the day when someone forgets. I put out the extras from the variety of leftovers and everyone gets to choose what they want.
