Manners Matter
By joon

Clip to ScrapBook
Laura, Here's a few ideas... hope they help!

1. Take a poster board and label it "Manners Matter" Have each child's name on three circles of paper(one for lunch and one for each snack), those who show good table
manners get to put their circle on the chart after each meal. At the end of the day, the children can show their parents if they had good manners. Three of their circles on the chart would be excellent manners...and on down from there.

2.Remind parents that they have to expect manners at home also. They cannot just depend on you to teach them or for their children to only use them at

school.

3.The children should also be responsible for cleaning up their own area (table, floor and chair)after they eat. The messier they are- the longer it will take to clean-up and the more time they miss doing something more enjoyable!
