kinder summer program

Clip to ScrapBook
Try to get your hands on some emergent readers (emergent leveled books like from The Wright Group or Scolastic, ask your first grade what they use.). If they are not remedial, they are probably beginning to read. You might also get a list of the sight words for first grade and work on those. Adding to 10. Some basic subtraction.. all with the use of manipulatives. Measurement activities. You can do alot of science with seeds or solar cooking etc... I have never heard of a summer program for those who were not in danger of retention. What a neat school you must be in!
