Grandparents
By Jo

Clip to ScrapBook
We haven't had a 'Grandparents Day' - how does that work with children with no grandparents? Can they bring someone else?
When I've had parents in for that length of time I've organised some quiet areas in the classroom (and outside if the weather is okay).. and have let small groups of children share a story book with the adults. The children love this and often move around listening to new stories and socialising with new people. Even if you just do this for a short while, the time really flies. It's usually popular with visiting adults too, as most of them are experienced story tellers/readers. Hope this helps.
