cooking

Clip to ScrapBook
There are so many things to do with little or no actual "cooking"..... Make butterflies with pretzel wings, Peanut butter filled celery stalk for the body. orange stick antenneas.... spiders from Oreo cookies and Twizzler
legs.... Nutter Butter cookies make good ants.... Dirt cups... lots of things can begin life as a cupcake..just decorate to order... When I brainstorm a new theme, I always try to see in my mind something we could "create" to go along with the topic. We have made deer sandwiches: triangle pb and j sandwich, pretzel antlers, cherry nose, raisin eyes..... Make octopus from hot dogs by cutting
them in half and making slits to make legs, cutting about halfway up . Once you boil them, the legs curl up. There are lots of websites with recipes for children. Do a search and I am sure you can find many ideas. And many books as well. "Pretend Soup" comes to mind right away.
