mothers day
By Coleen

Clip to ScrapBook
I have my class grow plants for mothers day as well, and I have grown a great variety of different things, I usually just go to a garden centre such as Home Depot and find a plant that sprouts quickly. The kids usually take
home the sprouts but not necessarily are they in flower yet. The part that makes my gift for the kids is I also buy the small ceramic flower pots and bases and napkins that have lots of flowers on them. I give each student a napkin and they cut around all of the flowers and then we use glue to cover the flower pots and bases. Then I spray them with a protector so they aren't ruined
when we are watering them. The mothers always love their gifts. I also plant one of my own in case someones doesn't grow and then we can just transplat it before it goes home, but I have never had to do that.
Hope this gives you an idea for a craft to go with the gift.
