ESL students By k

I have 6 ESL students whose families all speak the same language at home, and the year is going along beautifully. They pick up a lot through interaction with other children and if any one of them is stuck on the English word for something, the others are there to help out in translation. We do so many language/vocabulary/concept lessons as a whole class anyway, so I haven't needed to separate the students. I definitely think it helps that all of them come from the same linguistic background; things might be different if I had 6 ESL students with 6 different languages. There would be no mutual support.
